Dance Studios and Performing Arts

In addition to her law practice, Lauren is also the Owner/Director of the performing arts academy, Trinity Studios in Sparta, NJ and Creative Producing Director of the Black Cat Theatre Co of NJ. With her diverse experience in the law and performing arts, Lauren works with artists, studios and arts organizations to help guide them through some of the legal requirements in running a for profit or non profit business.

Lauren At Law in the Arts

Having  been raised in local community and regional, professional theaters throughout her childhood, Lauren has performed in various stage productions and musicals since her first stage appearance as one of the King of Siam's children in The King & I with the NE Lyric Opera Company at the age of 7.   

Lauren graduated from Rutgers College with a dual BA degree in History and Political Science and then Seton Hall University School of Law with her JD, but she continued to pursue her love of performing. As a teenager, she studied voice with Barbara Davis and for the last 14 years, has trained with Linda Benanti at Linda Benanti Voice Studio, and with Madison Washer. As a kid, Lauren studied dance at the Branchville Dance Center at the Country Theatre, and re-started her dance education at Synergy Dance Company (2012-2017).  

During the midst of the Covid-19 closures, Lauren opened Trinity Studios in July 2020, as a "training ground for triple threats-" a well rounded performing arts academy with highly qualified professional instructors in dance, theatre arts and vocal performance. Since it's founding, Trinity Studios performers and faculty have been Nationally recognized for their outstanding contributions to the arts. 

  In 2022, Lauren founded the Black Cat Theatre Company of New Jersey, which offers intimate theater performances as well as dinner theater events in the local area. She is the Creative Producing Director and resident Black Cat Playwright having penned numerous murder mysteries and romantic comedies for the BCTC stages including 

"Death at the Perky Papoose;" "Game of Abbeys;" "Bad Weed;" and "15 Below."

Lauren is also the Amazon best-selling young adult fantasy author of "Trinity"(2012), "Queen Makers" (2016) and "Rose of the Field" (expected Fall 2024). Her first non-fiction book, "Experts: Picking, Preparing, Perfecting," co-authored with colleagues Jonathan Lomurro and Mark Kitrick has been released by Thomson Reuters/AAJ Press and is available now at justice.org.
